Youth Theatre Instructor

The Music Studio of Warrensburg seeks a multi-talented Theatre Instructor with a record of successful performing to join our theatre staff.
Piano skills in conjunction with another instrument/or voice are highly desirable but not required.
The purpose of this job is to teach and lead children’s theatre classes following the Music Studio’s curriculum, constantly working to improve their own skills and ensuring current students continue to grow, develop, and enjoy the performing arts.
Responsibilities:
  • Teach fundamentals of acting and improvisation to a wide array of students of school age.
  • Communicating students’ progress to parents regularly.
  • Able to utilize time, energy, and resources to manage priorities, stay on track, and achieve class goals.
  • Able to connect with students & parents in a meaningful way.
  • Is approachable, genuine, knowledgeable, encouraging, passionate, and committed to helping students achieve.
  • Good team player, able to build good working relationships with others.
  • Resolves conflict in a professional, ethical manner with colleagues, staff, parents, and students.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
  • Meet or exceed one or more of the following:
    • B.F.A. in theatre (performance or education) from an accredited college or university, teachers may substitute 5 years of verifiable professional performing experience in lieu of a degree.
    • Missouri (or other) state teacher certification preferred but experience also considered.
    • Significant and documented professional performance experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to direct, choreograph, or musically lead rehearsals.
  • You must provide documentation that you may legally work in the United States.
  • Mandatory criminal background and Child Protective Services checks are conducted on all new hires. All job offers are contingent on passing background check.

Music Instructor (Guitar), Music Instructor (Strings), Music Instructor (Percussion)

The Music Studio of Warrensburg is currently seeking a multi-talented Music Instructor who is passionate about music education.
Piano in conjunction with another instrument/or voice preferred, at least one.
The purpose of this job is to teach music lessons to students following the Music Studio’s curriculum, constantly working to improve their own skills and ensuring current students continue to grow, develop, and enjoy playing music.
