PAYMENT OF LESSON FEES & OTHER OBLIGATIONS

TUITION & BILLING

We bill for and collect private lesson fees one month in advance. Lesson fees are non-refundable and are due on the 10th of the month (group classes) or the 20th of the month (private lessons) for the next month. A one-time registration fee of $25.00 is due at the time of your first registration with the studio. So long as you remain enrolled, no further registration fees are charged. A new registration fee is generally collected after six months of non-enrollment at the discretion of management.

We also ask that if you plan to discontinue lessons that you notify the studio by the last business day before the 20th in writing (email or walk-in). You may discontinue lessons at any time, however refund of tuition fees are only given in circumstances such as military transfer, family relocation, long-term illness, and similar). Credit/Debit cards are required to be on file for all families even if you choose to pay by cash or check.

The credit card on file will be charged on the last business day before the 20th, if tuition has not been received by that time unless you have made other arrangements with us in advance. Late fees of $10.00 per lesson/class will be added to accounts not paid in full by the last day of the month. NSF Check fee: $50.00. Private lesson fees are not refundable.

GROUP CLASSES & THEATRE PARTICIPATION FEES

Some group lessons or classes and all theatre participation fees are flat-fee tuition. The cost of the class is paid in one payment or, in some case, two payments. Other payment options may be discussed by contacting the studio management – our goal is to be as helpful as we can. Once paid, flat-rate fees are non-refundable without exception.

Theatrical production fees are based upon the actual costs of participation for your child. These costs may include special costuming, make-up, special props, and so forth. Once a show goes into rehearsals and a performance venue is booked and confirmed, participation fees become non-refundable.

If a show is cancelled and no alternate show can be arranged then participation fees are refunded however. The studio reserves the right to replace a cancelled show with another comparable production and will place all cast members in comparable roles.

A cast member withdrawing from a theatrical production is not entitled to a refund of participation fees. Complimentary participation fees are non-transferable. Any exception to the above policies are at the sole discretion of studio management.

WITHDRAWAL

Requests to withdraw or suspend lessons (up to 60 days with credit) must be received by the close of business on the last business day before the 20th of the month. No refunds are given for unused lessons except in unusual circumstances which are determined on a case-by-case basis. Any withdrawal or suspension request must be made in writing (email or withdrawal form at front desk). All withdrawals must be handled through our front desk. Teachers are not allowed to take withdrawals. If you withdraw, any unused tuition will remain as a credit on your account and may be used for any future enrollment.

SCHOLARSHIP & TUITION ASSISTANCE

At The Music Studio of Warrensburg, we seek to provide meaningful opportunities for everyone interested in the performing arts. We recognize that there are talented kids out there that merit a little help to grow their talent and might otherwise never have the opportunity to perform in a play, learn to sing or act, or otherwise discover their true potential. As a result of our commitment to “Music and Theatre for All” we have established a scholarship fund which will underwrite a portion of a student’s tuition and fees.

Our scholarships are funded through various methods including ticket and concession sales, sales of program advertising, and public donations. A student may apply for scholarship funding up to two times in a calendar year. Recipients are limited to a maximum of five fundings. Scholarship fund may pay for up to half of a child’s tuition or fees.

We want to make it possible for every child to be part of what we do at TMSOW. We often have families who wish to anonymously fund all or part of another child’s tuition. Please speak with the Artistic Director to see if such funds are available.

All scholarships and financial assistance are based upon actual need. We will ask for you to provide proof of income and expenses as part of the application process. Regretfully, we cannot approve funding without proof of need. Scholarships awarded on the basis of earned merit as exempt from this.

Any exceptions to these policies are at the sole discretion of the Scholarship Committee.
