EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS

ALL STAFF MEMBERS

Have an out-going personality, love working with the public, and be genuinely positive, up-beat and ready to have fun with our staff, students, and their families. You must be a team player – ready to adapt to our approach to the performing arts. Those with generally negative outlooks on life really don’t fit our view of the world and we just don’t want you here. Likewise, if you enjoy creating drama and spreading

TEACHERS

Meet or exceed one or more of the following – A degree in music (performance or education) from an accredited college or university, Missouri (or other) state teacher certification, significant and documented professional performance experience. Teachers may substitute 5 years of verifiable professional performing experience in lieu of a degree. You must provide documentation that you may legally work in the United States. You will be required to sign a non-compete and confidentiality agreement at the time of hiring. Mandatory criminal background and Child Protective Services checks are conducted on all new hires.

NON-TEACHING STAFF

Must be legally able to work in the U.S., 18 years of age or older preferred for Front Desk positions. Positions in this classification of workers include front desk personnel, classroom assistants, custodial workers, and other persons engaged to provide services other than instructional service. We hire young people under the age of 18 for some positions.

The following positions are currently available. All positions are subject to being filled without further notice:

  • KIDZ ROCK TEACHER – KidzRock (guitar, drum or keyboarist)
  • PIANO TEACHER – Piano (or combined with voice)
  • VOICE TEACHER – Voice (or combined with piano)
  • PERCUSSION TEACHER – Percussion Specialist
  • PRE-SCHOOL TEACHER – Pre-School/Early Elementary Specialist
  • TUTORS – Math, reading, and general areas

BACKGROUND CHECKS

Because of the nature of our business of working primarily with children, we have an obligation to ensure that our employees can safely associate with children. We take this very seriously!

At the time of application we will conduct an open records check to determine if we wish to proceed with an interview. A criminal conviction is not necessarily a bar to employment. We will review the nature of any offense and the length of time that has elapsed when considering potential employees. We reserve the right to require applicants selected for employment to submit to a finger print background check and drug testing.

After employment we routinely do random open records checks of all employees. Any false, misleading, omission of fact, or a conviction involving a crime of trust, moral turpitude, or sexual misconduct will result in the immediate termination of employment. We also request records from the Missouri Department of Social Services in the employment process.
